Hi Joan, I would dump a couple of cups of vinegar in there, don't follow it with water so the vinegar sits in the trap for awhile.

Septic tank enzymes. I like the liquid formula but there are also dry formulas that have to be mixed up with warm water. I buy mine at HD. Safe for the garbage disposal too.

Since they are live enzymes they need to do their work, while the sink is not being used, like at night. It will take more than one application and if you've already tried vinegar and other chemicals that will kill those enzymes, I would rinse that out of there first, so that those little eaters can live long enough to do their job.

Flush with hot water for 10 minutes. Fill with drain cleaner, according to cleaner specifications and flush with hot water again. Then add a box of backing soda, let stand for another 10 minutes. Flush with hot water again.

This should clean and deodorize your drain.

Hint: Pour three cap fulls of Dawn Platinum once a week in your sink drain and this keep it clean and oder

    free.

    Good luck
