I like Liquid Wrench or if its rusted shut then I might use Naval Jelly but its caustic so wear rubber gloves, eye protection and I use a mini wire brush to work it free and steel wool.

Use a few ounces of motor oil so saturate the pipes for several hours. Use a steel wool pad to scrub off the loosened rust. It may take more than one time. After you turn the water off at the street, you can use the largest pipe wrench you can handle to take the pipes apart. Check local building codes or ask a plumber (sweetly) if you should use pvc or flexible pipe to replace the old galvanized or copper pipe. Watch videos before you actually do anything. Hometalk or You Tube. Best wishes ☺️
