Why wont my sump pump turn off after emptying the crock?
the crock fills halfway with water and I have to turn breaker on for the pump to go on. It doesnt turn off when the crock is emptied of water. nothing is impeding the float switch

I used that same video, when this happened to me. Eventually the pump died though, but it gave me a bit more time.
