How do you restore chrome bathroom fixtures?

Thank you, that'll be my last resort but at least I'll have it.

@Em: used the technique as outlined in the link and got really good results--at least an improvement to what I started with. There's still some buffing to do but the photo shows an "after". Now...because these sconces weren't expensive enough with thick chrome coating, I did get some yellowish base color coming through but nothing as noticable as what was there before or as visible from below. So thank you!
