Burned how? From a hot pot?
You can just sand it down with a random orbit sander. Once the burn is gone give it a coat of any type of cooking oil (vegetable, sunflower seed, corn, etc.).

You would need to plane it down to get rid of all the burnt wood and then re-finish it as required.
Sand with sand paper and wipe done with vinegar or bleach. Rinse off with water.
