Hi Dana, sorry you have a broken cast iron pot. From what I have researched you can try a 2 part JB weld, or have it welded. If it bears a lot of weight you can try the JB weld, and if it doesn't work then find someone that can weld it. Good luck

    Hi Dana,

I'm Linda and I'ma Hometalk helper. The best way to do a handle is to weld it in order to give it the strength that it needs to handle the weight of the pan. I found a video that might help you, but unfortunately the creator block what he's doing when he welds. If you know how to weld or have a friend who has that skill, that would be the best way to fix it so that it's strong. Take a look at the video and see what you think. Wishing you the best.

I would try JB WELD. I fixes things & I have used it on my cast iron stuff & it worked.

IF YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT WELDED, YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET A NEW ONE CHEAPER.
