Half the mustache fell off my 3’ nutcracker. How can I repair it? Nutcracker is made of some type of fibrous material, not plastic, not wood.
I'd add some weight to the bottom hem of the curtains. Maybe drop a few marbles into the hem (if you don't have kids or pets who might swallow them if one gets out) . Or you can run a small chain through the hem area for the same idea...just to add enough weight.
You might have to bend them up a little more.
Use your hand or a pair of pliers to squeeze the hooks tighter. When you get ready to remove them, use pliers again if you need to to open them back up. The curtain should still be easy enough to remove for washing. Once in a great while, wax or oil the curtain rod to make sliding the curtain easier. Best wishes, Andrea! ☺️
Oh how smart! Thank-you
Trying th same method as a stud ear ring....place a stop on the hook. Perhaps a rubber chair glide, or a slice of a wine cork....get the idea ?
Great idea’s thanks much!
The decorative hooks such as yours are really meant to be basically stationary. This is, to hold a decorative shower curtain, while the liner goes on another rod with separate hooks. The dual track rods work well for this.
I would head out to the dollar store and get the locking hooks. Done!
I use cork and cut into small circles with a hole in the middle or you can buy cork washers or use old wine bottle corks. Just make sure it's thick enough not to break when putting hole in center. I use a 16 penny nail.
Replace them.
