Door closure problem- Any suggestions?

I have two glass French doors going out onto my deck and back yard. I mainly use the right side door. When I come in and shut it, the lower bottom does not shut. There is an opening and I have to push the lower part of the door a couple of times in order to shut it properly and it is completely sealed. Any suggestions?

First thing I would check is to see if the door is bent. You didn't mention what the frame of the door around the glass is made of, but I'd hold a straight-edge against the door when it's open to see if the door is straight. Metal doors can get bent. There is also the possibility that door hinges have come loose or are worn, depending on what kind of hinges they are. Lastly, weather stripping may be hardened from age or damaged in some way. It has to be one or more of these things.

Check to make sure all the screws in the hinges are tight. You may want to remove two screws from each hinge on the frame side and install 2" to 3" screws in their place. Also use a level to make sure the frame is plumb and not out of square.
