My sliding glass door needs the wheels changed.

Question

I paid someone to change the wheels about 24 months ago and it is in need of being done again. How do I know a 'good' wheel set' from a 'great wheel set'

Are you keeping the track clean where your wheels pass? I have not changed my wheels on my glass door...sometimes if they are squeaking I use a little WD40 oil on them.

Thank you - yes - we have been keeping the track clean. We purchased the home in 1990 and did not need to replace the wheels until two years ago. NOW, am seeing I need to replace them again, so am thinking the person I had do it used inferior wheels.

Of course, the door uses two sets of wheels. I was charged $180 USD for this and I see the wheels themselves are not expensive at all. My biggest challenge is getting the door off the track without a helper.

We have had no change in our life style so that's why I am wanting to be capable of recognizing good wheels from not as good a wheel.
