Any ideas on how to repurpose a waterbed mattress?

The matress is fully functional but I don't want to keep spending money on products that keep it from deterorating because I am not using the bed anymore.

Blow it up with air and make a lake float out of it . You can use it in your backyard. Either way it will work good on getting a nice tan.
I had an n old one that had a hole so I cut the bottom out of it and use it to cover my kids sand box .
Cool, thought about using it as a planter so my landlord would not be upset that mint took over the yard.
The heating part could be used in a worm or mushroom bed, or it could be used as a liner for a small pond in your garden or even as a weed control in a garden walkway covered up with wood mulch.
I would make a small pond out of it with a recirculating pump!!!
