Any ideas what to do with a tonto cover from truck

If you don't want to sell it on Craigslist ? Turn it upside down and put it in the corner of your yard for a ready made container for a compost heap, spray paint it and make a large planter or fairy garden or both . -

If you mean a tonneau cover, is it a solid piece, a tri fold? If one solid piece, you could use for a hinged door on a garden box, use it as a privacy screen by attaching it to wooden posts. Turn it into an outdoor table by adding legs.
