Cut down. It spreads. To neighbors yards. Ask how to get read of roots. Use tops for making things for climbing flowers. Good luck
Trim it back, so it will be less dense and allow more light to pass through. You could also transplant some into a larger decorative container. The container will limit the volume of bamboo, preventing future clumps.

First, confirm it's bamboo and not Japanese knotweed. Knotweed is invasive and will spread aggressively. It's exhausting to eliminate.
Make something with the bamboo, find ideas on Google. Type in " things you can make with bamboo"
if it's something you want to get rid of or reduce in size the roots become rock hard. I found lots and I mean lots of water might help. i mean a hose running very slowly for hours to help soften the ground. Then I found a pick axe breaking the roots from the edge and removing bit by bit. when you get the clump the size you want thinning it further can make it architectural looking. Strip off the bottom leaves to about 4 or 5 feet from the groun leaving the bare stems. some rocks or river cobbles around the bottom and an uplighter can create a real feature.
