What an incredible concept on each of your parts. To want to create and leave a memorial a celebration of one's life as a reinvention of all the parts you loved best. William above offers great site for inspiration. my simple idea was to suggest once gutted to use shell as a community garden art piece, in his name, that could only grow better with time. Hoping you find what you need.

I just saw a post of the truck bed being used as the bed frame so you could read the truck make and see the tailgate as the foot of the bed?

Use the tail gate as a head board and the front part can be used as a flower bed, so sorry for your loss.

I don't have many ideas except for saving the hood of the truck or the license plate and adding flowers and a picture of your son to create a memorial. My brother passed away 10 years ago, and the pain never heals, but it does get easier to cope with over time. Sending love and hugs, and hoping you find strength from this project.

I remember seeing the post about the person that turned a pickup truck body into a bed. It was a great idea! If you'll go back through previous posts you'll see it. I saw that Dixiecup1 mentioned it a few posts back, too. But there are alot of good ideas. May God Bless You, Carolyn......

Sorry about your loss. If the tailgate is still in good shape, you could hang it on a wall of your garage to help preserve it and help in your remembrance. If you have a wood-burning fireplace, perhaps you could use the bed for storage of your wood. Not knowing what specific parts you have that are available, makes it difficult for more suggestions. Good luck.

So sorry for your loss. The bed could be used for a bed depending on the size you want or as a bench in a den.

Not sure what shape the truck is in but recently I saw a very large rose made from a John Deere tractor, it was not green, the paint had been stripped off leaving it a silver metal color. I thought it was beautiful. I also liked the ideas posted before mine. Let your hearts tell you what will work for you.

Type in Pinterest man cave ideas.. one family took the back end of a truck and used it for furniture. Than you can go back here to home talk for easy ideas.

Give it time don't rush go small not large on any such project. It maybe harder to see daily than anyone can imagine.
