i have seen them cut off, blades removed. Use a wired ribbon to weave in and out to match the room to use it in. I lined it win an old plastic table cloth. Put on a matching bow and you can use it as storsgex a planter, a makeup catch all, store newspapers or magazines. Save the blades for a garden whirlygig. Be sure you snap off the cord.

What comes to mind is a to remove the plastic mesh cage and create a giant sunflower for the garden or porch.

Are you sure it won't work? I have revived many fans from other peoples' trash heaps just by oiling them.

I have two of them. They just needed to be cleaned and oil. Don't stop using them. They are very nice! It beats having a big box fan sitting on the floor, plus you can set it to rotate and curculate the air and not from the floor!

Take the fan apart, it should give you three separate pieces. The back piece can be filled in with fake flowers, or what ever you want. The fan it self can be used as a propeller, kind of beachy. You could also glue what ever you want. The cover can be used a a wreath, pass fake greenery through the slits, add flowers or whatever you choose to do, all can be hung up on a wall, or door. How's that? Good Luck!

The fan blade can be painted and turned into a flower for the outside. That's what I plan to do, I just need to figure out how I can turn the pole part into the stem for the flower.
