How can I make my headboard into a sitting bench?

If you look at the photo you will see it is too long and needs to be cut to resemble a bench.
Hi Pam, I'm assuming your table is large enough to span the width of the bed you're planning on using it for? After removing the legs you could paint or stain the table top and then attach it to the wall. You could also consider adding molding to it to add some interest.
Thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking of attaching legs to it but it would be easier to hang it like that. It already has an etched design down the center that I will probably add some accent paint to.
Could you post a picture of the table so we can provide more specific suggestions?
What I would do is take the legs off, get some batting used for quilt, cover the table top and then get some material and staple all to wood and place behind the bed.
