The table feels like a wood look formica but it is on solid wood. I hate to try acetone in case it ruins the top. It's been on there for over 10 years now.

Have you thought about cutting the table in half and mounting it to the wall (only two of the legs would be used)? I have also seen people use the other half of the table as a shelf above cutting down the width and the legs if necessary.
I had the same thought! A rack under the shelf for wine glasses would look nice.
That is a great idea. Is the table you plan to use a pub table? Finish it off with Dixie Belle Paint to complete your look!
