I make them out of lots of things I use bullets, metal rulers,sm glass medicine vials, silverware, tomato paste cans, glass pieces, small plates(goodwill stuff/dishes), pieces of wood are just a few examples way to many to list;to connect them I use baling wire, polychromatic fishing line, fishing lures, small chains, waxed twine;tools-thimbles for fingers tips, carpet needles, needle nose pliers, wire cutters, scissors, small ball pin hammers, small vise, industrial tweezers, jig saw, electric drill with many drill bits for all purposes, and many others ,wrought iron shepards hook in yard to hang them on/hold them while I'm working on them. you don't need all these just good wire cutters, hammer, needles nose pliers, scissors, carpet needles, something to hang it on while you are working on them simple hook in ceiling with chain (to raise and lower chimes as you progress) Basic chimes mimnimal cost and no tools. You can tie pieces of wood onto another piece of wood, or even add piece of wood for clacker and add metal or plastic coffee can lid to hang from clacker /center to grab wind.
