How do I reuse a large plastic drinking jug?

Is there any ideas to reuse the large water jugs for outside use? I have several, but have no creative ideas.

Can you post a picture of this jug? Then I'd have a better idea of exactly what it looks like. Or you can check out on Pinterest for many unique ideas. I'm with you on wanting to repurpose rather than throw them away.

We cut the bottoms off and use them for frost protection on new plants in the garden in the spring or fall. The lids can come off for warmer times of the day and back on at night when there is danger of frost. We also use them to water plants from our water barrel to conserve water. (water barrel is covered and attached to gutter drains off the roof with a place for drain to go into the lid). They could also be used to drip water into areas needing slow watering like flower beds or vegie gardens when you will be away, just puncture some small holes in the bottom for them to leak slowly. These are great in our dry area of the country. If you mean the large hard plastic bottles, we know people have built small greenhouses out of them! Hope this gives you some ideas that will fit your needs.

Pintrest. Cut front use as planters or fairy gardens.
