very handy to have around, if the rim of the jar is rough....don't use it for food. if the inside of the jar is scratched or had dirt in it-dont use it for food- send it to the garage for nuts and bolts. the non food ones make nice candle holders for pick-nicks-i like tea lights, the battery ones. the non scratched up rims -they can also store myo dry soup mixes, hot coco mixes, odd pieces of dry pasta..... -
