I have hanging pots and planters outside and want to keep them outside. But I am not good with keeping my plants alive. Anything else I can use them for outside?

You can do some pretty cool 'rock gardens' in planters, no plants needed. Painted rocks can be pretty attractive, or something along the Asian Zen gardens, or maybe even a fairy garden with no plants or fake plants wold be cool. For the hanging baskets, you can add Styrofoam balls piled up (decorated with what ever makes you happy and use battery powered LED lights or solar powered lights for night time awesomeness. Or just fill them with pinecones and stuff for a 'dried' flower arrangement.
