Here is a website with 5 different ideas, maybe one of these will be something you like - http://www.homejelly.com/rad-repurposing-5-reinvented-uses-for-old-tvs/ - good luck
this isn't helpful at all but hilarious. While shopping at a Goodwill (hello my name is Sherry and I'm addicted) I noticed some young men loading old tvs in a truck and on a trailer. I mean like 35 tvs! The pallet was marked 1 penny must buy all. I said to myself, "now what in the world could hey be going to do with those old sets?" So me being me....asked. One looked at me a sheepishly grinned and said "well something we probably ought not do". I said "target practice? ". They died laughing and said "yes!" I said "hey, I'm in, let's go". I just thought it was funny! So bottom line is you can make nice pistol targets...at least in South Carolina...
Donate to the local prison or jail.
some computer places, like Staples, will accept the smaller ones to recycle. Or call a recycling center to see if they know of who will accept them. Its pretty difficult to get rid of those old box tvs now. Also, maybe post on your local facebook group and see if any scrappers want them. People will strip the stuff from inside that are worth money and toss the rest.
Here's some google images to explore.

Good luck!
Although I haven't done this myself, this idea intrigues me! http://www.instructables.com/id/Old-Console-TV-to-a-Bar/
Remove all the guts and the screen. Then add some padding and pillows for a TV dog bed!
Are they wood encased t.vs? Many people are re-purposing them into pet beds, by taking out electrical workings and ending up with wooden t.v. case, painting, adding cushion, and decorating.
My Dad took the old TV stuff out of a wooden console TV put his new flat screen inside and it looked like it came that way. He may have had to put a piece of wood under the flat screen to bring it up into the "window" but it looks wonderful and my sister still uses it.
remove the insides and slide in a fish tank. !!!
Call your local Landfill... it's illegal to throw old electronics into the trash, but your local Landfill can accept them for disposal.
When my brothers and I were preteens, my Dad turned took out the inside , added doors and a lock and turned it into a liquor cabinet. im serious! to keep us from being tempted I guess.
Could you stack them and make a funky bookcase. It might real interesting if the largest was on bottom, and progressively got smaller with a tiny plastic portable on top..... funky pyramid. Paint the insides bright colors and put in cabinet puk lights to showcase your collectibles.
All good ideas.
We just brought ours to a recycle centre. They strip them down for parts, and the proceeds go to help children's charities.
