Depending on what your cabinet looks like, perhaps a serving/bar table? Here's some ideas from Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/junk2jewelsdiy/sewing-cabinets-repurposed/?lp=true

I love old sewing machine cabinets! I made a small kitchen island/ cart from one years ago- painted it while, added a fake butcher block top that was cut to fit out of 2x4's, hooks, bottom shelf, paper towel holder- and I love it. I've since moved to a different house and it's now transformed to a mini workbench/ tool storage with an added shelf on the wall above. Hope this inspires you- let us know what you do!

Your cabinet would make a nice desk or side table.

We painted one black for a make-up area for my granddaughter. Used old doily to paint silver & gold design on it. Used a clear sealer on top.. Found pineapple knobs which is part of her room theme. She loves it. Put a mirror leaning on backside of it or you could hang a mirror on the wall added a black padded folding chair to the set.

We have one like Jewell pictured. We use it in the attic room of our adult granddaughter (well been her room for years) Same drawers and top. We just put a cloth over it. I have not painted it.
