Piece them together for trivets or coasters.
If the scraps are at least 12 inches long by 5 inches wide I attach a coat hook to the top inch of the board, wrap some wire around a pint size Mason Jar, add some sand and a votive candle (or the battery operated one) and hang them on fence posts or the front of the house. Cute night time lighting!
Keep them in an old onion bag to bring camping for the campfire.
Kids love wood blocks to play with. Cut in varying sizes and kids will stack and build and play for hours. Sand them a bit for safe handling.
Stain or paint each piece of wood. Distress if you desire. Then paint freehand, stencil or use the transfer method ...and put motivational words or phrases,on each piece of wood. Put them around the house to motivate you or remind you of important ideas or ways of thinking. An example of a word could be: SERENITY. An example of a motivational phrase could be: CHOOSE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT, NOT WHAT IS EASY!
