I put my jar in the freezer next day came right out .also the front paper came off also .it was a Yankee candle wanted to keep jar .
After it cools, pull out what you can. Sometimes you can get out the metal thing that holds the wick. Put jar in the freezer. A good chunk of it will come out. Then use hot water, to wash the jar, but don't let any wax chips go down the drain. I have reused the jars, but not the wax. I put smaller candles in the jar.
I set mine in a water bath and heat on the stove. It is best to put a metal divider in the bottom like comes in canning pots or in pressure cookers, to keep the glass off the bottom. If need be, one pot of water inside another pot will work too. Warm it slowly until you can pour it out but be careful, the melted wax is very hot. If you spill any, it is not easy to get off the stove. I have some that cooked over to clean right now, but I will get to it in a bit.
Hi Maria. I put the glass jars in a sink of hot water. Once it starts softening up i take a butter knife to pop it out. To reuse it you could purchase some wicks and melt the wax down to make more candles.
When the candle is down to nothing, set it in hot water, scrape the wax out, and use it for a glass.
