Not sure what you are asking. Do you want an awning outside? Or are you looking to disguise the door? Or do you want to block the door so it cannot be used? -

What do you mean by cover? You have to have the door accessible in case of an emergency to use as an exit. -

Pictures are really small for some reason, but I get the idea. Unless you are an experienced builder, this kind of structure needs to be built by a professional. Attaching stuff to the house there are a lot of things that you can do wrong that will compromise weather-tightness of your home. The traditional covering for this kind of stairwell is a Bilco door.
