You can get one-way reflective window film in 4 colors, gold, platinum, bronze and silver. You can see out, but the level of light is dimmer. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_16?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=one+way+reflective+window+film&sprefix=one+way+reflecti%2Caps%2C205&crid=A3UPP33MKRQ1
Then you can also go with the privacy film, that makes the window frosted looking.... it comes in many patterns too.... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_6_19?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=privacy+frosted+window+film&sprefix=privacy+window+film%2Caps%2C228&crid=VKAD936P0574&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aprivacy+frosted+window+film
They make wonderful clings now that are made for just that. Look on Amazon : )
You should be able to get the window glass replaced with Opaque glass and that allows the light but nobody can see in. Usually if it's a newer window (double hung) you should be able to pop it out and take it in and have glass replaced. If you are not able to do that there is a product you can use to make glass look like stained glass, there is a clear spray or color that will do a similar job to the glass.
lowes and Home Depot have nice window cling !
I am interested in doing this also, but I want it to be smart glass or some type of smart treatment that I can turn this feature on and off with my smartphone. I cannot seem to locate anything. Ideas?
Just remember that the tinted stuff applied to your windows only keeps prying eyes out during the day. The effect is reversed at night so you need some sort of covering.
