Where to get used plant & garden things?

Snapoutofit on Dec 25, 20151. CraigsList 2. Local community paper-penny ads 3. Ask a wholesale nursery if they ever need to get rid of used pots and "other things." 4. Contact commercial landscaping companies. Maybe they have containers they dont need.Helpful Reply

Hope Williams on Dec 25, 2015Hi Glen. I too recommend Craigslist. Look in specific section and post an ad in "wants" section as well. Try a restore and even your local goodwill. Also Google "trash nothing.org" for your area. It's a really great site for this type thing as they post wants and needs. Best of luck to you. Merry Christmas!Helpful Reply

Elaine Marchant on Dec 25, 2015I find pots at yard and garage sales as well as thrift stores. I find 1/2 and 1 gal milk jugs with the tops cut off and holes in the bottom for drainage also work really well in the green house and indoors for starting plants. I make paper pots for cucumbers etc out of old newspaper strips using various sized jars for the mold or you can by an expensive wooden mold.Helpful Reply

Lori Johnson on Dec 25, 2015Recycle, Craig's list are great suggestions, also consider church yard sales, Garage sales, Estate sales, Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. Also on Facebook "like" their pages and you can get a 20 percent off coupon. Don't worry about the color of the ITEMS u find. Just make sure they're in good condition. Spray paint hides Alot of blemishes. Plus it's customized colors to your yard that way too!Helpful Reply
