Prunning Clerodendrum
-
Douglas Hunt on Mar 28, 2013There are many types of Clerodendrums, Gay. Do you have the vine form or the shrub form? Yellowing leaves generally indicate a nutrition issue. Do you fertilize at all? How much light does it get? You might want to get a soil test done (check with you local extension office) as pH can affect a plant's ability to take in nutrients.Helpful Reply

Gay Barlow on Mar 28, 2013Thanks for getting back to me. My Clerodendrum is a climber. It's been planted for about 6 months and was doing quite well. Yes, I use Miraclegrow as a fertilizer & usually do it every few months or so. Sometimes more often.......you know the drill.......ooopppss I think I better fertilize.... It gets full sun all day & seemed to love it. I'll have the soil checked, but it seems odd that the soil would change so drastically. But you never know!?!Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Mar 29, 2013Try switching to a good slow-release fertilizer like Osmocote. Your soil wouldn't have changed in the time since you planted; it would have taken awhile for the effects to be seen in the plant.Helpful Reply
