Redo an armoire, making it into an office space
-
MN Mom on Jan 26, 2016Hi Dee Depending on the style of the armoire you should have a desk area with either a shelf or cubbyholes above and then an empty portion under the desk. I would treat this interior area like an apartment and get baskets, jars , boxes or whatever to house your desk supplies on the cubby/shelf area. I would also find a roll out file to tuck under the desk so you can store paperwork, files, magazines etc and have access to them as needed. Utilize the inside of the doors to hang calendars, a planner etc. and don't forget lighting either inside or on top of the unit. Close the office doors when not in use!Helpful Reply

Janet Pizaro on Jan 26, 2016In my opinion without seeing the actual piece there is no way any one can give an opinion of how to transform this for you. A picture would be most helpful as there are so many different types of armoires.Helpful Reply

Teresa on Jan 27, 2016I have changed them before is it press wood or real wood if you are painting make sure to prime well or use chalk paint it stick to projects well. I would also make sure to add electrical surge protector. And look at the dollar store for fun storage boxes you can recover to add decoration. Even a cork or dry eraser board is fun and cheep there to. Hope this helps!Helpful Reply
