Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 05, 2012Sounds as though there is some minor movement going on. Besides knowing the age and info that Dan's is asking for, can you tell us a bit more? Is the crack vertical, horizontal, or at an angle? Does the door bind? Or does it appear not to be evenly spaced along the top of the door to the frame when its closed? Is the room on a slab, over a basement or crawl, or on a 2nd floor? Is there a crack on both sides or just one? As KMS said can you post a photo?Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Feb 06, 2012If there is "backing" a.k.a. studs behind I like to drive a few more drywall screws into the repair area to firm up possible movement of the sheet rock...then mesh tape and mud.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Feb 06, 2012Jackie, that may be the fix along with what KMS said. But I would, being me, would like to know what caused this crack all of a sudden. Knowing more about it shape, angle, size location will help understand what caused this just so it does not continue if a fix somewhere else needs to be done. Photo will help.Helpful Reply

DORLIS on Aug 14, 2015We had doors and windows that were hard to open and close. Heliotech came in and jacked up the south east corner less than 1/4 inch. No problems since. It also caused cracks in several places. It costs a lot but yo get a life time guarantee,Helpful Reply
