Janet Pizaro on Feb 07, 2016Take the globe off and put on a cold situation, be careful not to crack the glass or the reverse and use a source of heat, blow dryer or heat gunHelpful Reply

MN Mom on Feb 07, 2016Barb in would try to gently remove it with acetone on a cotton ball, dabbing it on the glue and then gently try to pry it off using a butter knife. I'd be hesitant to heat or get the globe too cold for fear of it breaking.Helpful Reply

Pgl on Feb 07, 2016I placed two candleholders stuck together by hot gluet in the oven at 190 degrees> I left them alone for an hour in the oven, then using oven mitts I tried to carefully work them loose by carefully trying to twist them left then right. I then placed them back in the oven and repeated the same cycle by the third try then came apart.I let them cool and was able to peel off the remaining glue..Helpful Reply

Feisty one on Feb 08, 2016oven might work. I soaked wax filled fragile glass in hot water. But I have also, placed some things in freezer, and allow to get cold, and have it crack off. But I agree w/ the above w/ temperature changes. Nail polish remover, or to hardware store to find a strong solution may be the safest answer.Helpful Reply
