KatAych on Feb 23, 2016I looked there, first, it's all mostly using it as pegs or painting them into dolls or figurines...I was hoping there was a brilliant idea out there for doing something useful and different, but maybe a peg is just a peg!Helpful Reply

MN Mom on Feb 23, 2016You can make peg rails for lots of things for storage and display...ties and scarves, purses, keys and lanyards, mug racks, towel holders, mount one peg for a leash holder. Make custom items and gift them!Helpful Reply

Michelle Kolbenstetter on Feb 24, 2016I know you said nothing "crafty", but I see cute mushrooms you can stick into potted plants, or in the garden. Paint the "stems" white, and the "caps" red, or mixed pastel colors. Add white dots to the caps, and stagger in different heights in the planter - maybe in groups of 3, or more.Helpful Reply

Susan Bechamp on Feb 24, 2016I attached about two dozen to the fascia board around my front porch and use them to hang plants in summer and Christmas lights in winter. I put some on the back porch and hang wet clothes to dry and some hold my mop and broom and other cleaning supplies. (Close to the kitchen yet not in it.) Mine get used, if not every day, then often enough to be useful. If you can't find them useful to yourself then donate them to a school art class or other place that will use them.Helpful Reply

Susan Rutter on Feb 24, 2016You could place a cut out wooden plaque, with diameter of bottom of peg and insert 3 or 4, depending on your preference, and hang keys, large cups, etc. the ideas are endlessHelpful Reply

Tricia Jackson Jones on Feb 24, 2016You could make them into games. I have seen something similar in Cracker Barrel.Helpful Reply

Ranger on Feb 24, 2016They are quite attractive just as they are; simple and utilitarian. I would perhaps just leave the lot of them in a basket or wire tray and let them be. An idea will come to you eventuially but in the meantime they are something for kids to play with, a baby to chew (?), a talking point... But the chess idea (or draughts) is interesting.Helpful Reply

Sue Peet on Feb 24, 2016stain or paint them, mount them to a piece of wood and they would be useful for hanging jewelry, coffee cups, scarfs, dish towels, wet knitted gloves so they will dry faster. If you have any decorative plates these could be mounted on the wall to display pretty dishes like plates.Helpful Reply

KatAych on Feb 29, 2016Well, I found a useful purpose for at least 4 of them!!! I saw a photo on Pinterest where someone had used these to hold/display their antique rolling pins! I only have 2 pins, but hey - it's a start!!! Thanks to all of you for your great suggestions! I have about 50 of these pegs so I'll incorporate other ideas elsewhere as I go along...Mahalo!Helpful Reply
