We finally finished our full wall chalkboard/magnetic paint wall in our dining room! You can read more about it on my blog but it all started with prying our chair rail off the wall, sanding, more sanding, painting magnetic paint and finally a few coats of chalkboard paint.

Crystal - 29 Rue House on Mar 21, 2012Thanks everyone! Just Fine Tables - I haven't noticed any difference in the acoustics although our house doesn't have great acoustics anyway...maybe because our ceilings are so low and our walls are made of rock lath or something like that. I have a question for you! How do you deal with the gritty texture in your magnetic boards? Tamber B - I used the Rust-Oleum products. I got mine at HD - they're right next to the spray paint. I do have more info on my blog if your interested...along with a super embarrassing video showing my magnetic wall process. http://29ruehouse.blogspot.com/2012/03/writing-on-wall.html Donna Marie P - A chalkboard t-shirt sounds neat!
