French Country Bedroom

Our master bedroom has gone through some fun changes lately. As you may have figured out by now, I love French Country.
This is how our bedroom looks today after all the changes. I painted the walls using two colors of paint - Valspar Natural and SW Deer Valley. I rolled them on using a divided sponge paint roller giving the walls an uneven look. I wanted them to look like Venetian plaster.
We added rustic wood trim all around the room, emphasizing the slant of the ceiling.
We also added barn doors to the entry to our master bathroom. I found this chaise lounge for sale on a local website. It had belonged to a photographer who only used it for photo shoots. It was pink when I bought it and I painted it and recovered the cushion.
We are hoping to make some major changes in our master bathroom soon.
I also made throw pillows and shams for our bed. The bedspread is from Overstock.
I made our new draperies from faux silk in Bluestone.
This is our bedroom before all the changes. You can find detailed tutorials for refinishing the chaise, putting up the wood trim, making the pillows and information on the barn door on my blog. Also, tons of pictures.

I like how you trimmed the corners and crevices of the wall and ceiling. My two bedrooms upstairs are almost exactly the same with the ceiling having a curve in it. I bought some paint rollers with a pattern in them which I'd like to paint the walls with. Beats wallpaper. You did a Great Job!
