How to plant a lotus?
Hi. I got 3-4 lotus roots/stems from the local pond. In my balcony I've kept them in a plastic tub. over two yesrs now, the leaves have become visibly smaller and I've not had a single bloom. I'm ready to redo the planting if anybody can show the way. Thanks for your guidance. Mishra

There are lot of folks with pond experience on Hometalk who can give probably give you a better answer than I can, Mishra, but my question would be how much light are your lotus getting?

they are on a west facing balcony, so they are getting a good few hours of sunlight. Is the way to plant a lotus different from that of water lilies?
