Z on Jun 25, 2013Great idea on the gutter guard JG! This is going to look cute in any color, but I vote for Olive and Cream. Olive is my favorite color. Well most greens, but I love olive!Helpful Reply

KathrynElizabeth Etier on Jun 26, 2013Love the piece, it's so challenging! I vote for the charcoal and vintage white, though the olive and cream is a very close second. Can't wait to see the finished project. (If I'd seen this, I would have definitely bought it, too)Helpful Reply

Phil Miller on Jun 26, 2013it depends what outcome you are expecting. A blend with the building or a contrast to the building. White blends, while green contrast, You have taken the iron works off. Leave it off. I like the wood color but, if you must paint, paint it white and put olive green vase on one shelf. Brown and clear on the other shelves. A touch of yellow would make it pop.Helpful Reply

Terra Gazelle on Jun 26, 2013I love the gutter guard...so ingenious. I would do the piece in olive, maybe with a undercoat of a tone darker than the olive..and dry brush the olive on top. Make the gutter guard look old with a bit of rubbed on stain. Porcelain knobs would look good.Helpful Reply

Lgsmith on Jun 27, 2013I like the metal work too. Maybe put it over the gutter guard.. as a bold accent. With the olive paint, what about old, old copper color or bronze?Helpful Reply

Junk Gypsee on Jun 27, 2013Okay you awesome, creative geniuses...I've made a decision and it will be posted by the week-end. I've been working on it, but decided to sand it properly, layer the paints and finishes, wax it and then add the embellishments. Curing time is waiting time!! Thank you bunches for being part of this. In a way, it's your creation too!! xoxoHelpful Reply

Junk Gypsee on Jun 27, 2013Working on it right now...I'm turning this one on its head, literally. It requiring a lot more prep work than I realized...so I'm running behind...hoping that it will start taking shape tomorrow Sheila!! Gutter guard was my alternative to copper of sheet metal. Expensive!! This piece will be for sale and is not a custom order. I like to experiment with my own items and share some cost-saving ideas whenever I can. I'll break it down when it's completed! xoxoHelpful Reply
