Natalie Scarberry on Jul 14, 2013Your Casablanca lilies are so beautiful. I put down some Asiatic lily bulbs last February and they produced the most amazing beauties. I believe they are Stargazer lilies. Maybe someone can confirm that.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jul 15, 2013Alan, you definitely have Casablanca, but Natalie, I don't think you have Stargazer, which has more red than white. Yours looks like it may be "Hot Spot": http://www.thelilygarden.com/pages_lilies/oriental_1.htmlHelpful Reply

Luis on Jul 15, 2013Douglas I think that is a Tiger Woods Lily (not the golfer) it is very closed to my photoHelpful Reply

Lori on Jul 16, 2013The white ones, if they have a strong lily fragrance, are Casablanca. Oriental lilies are fragrant; Asiatic lilies have no fragrance. Both are beautiful additions to the perennial garden.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jul 16, 2013You could well be right, Luis. It looks like "Tiger Woods" does have a little more strongly defined red in the center of the petals than "Hot Spot."Helpful Reply

Donnell Houx on Jul 16, 2013One of the most beautiful bouquets I ever received was all white. I got it for my birthday 12/23. It had white roses, daisys, not sure what else but I remember the big white lilies which smelled so wonderful.Helpful Reply

Peg on Jul 17, 2013hhhmmm...I just thought the white ones by my window allowed the fragrance to come inside, but now I will check to see if they are more fragrant than the others! But, since most are finished for the season, it will have to wait until next year!Helpful Reply

Lori on Jul 18, 2013@ Patricia, what variety are they? My understanding is that the presence or lack of fragrance was one of the key differences between the two types.Helpful Reply
