Sucker Stopper

Question for Walter Reeves or Erica Glasener -- I used Sucker Stopper on our Black Cherry tree over the weekend. It came out white and has covered the trunk in white, and it's still white after a few days and heavy storms. When will it wash off? (The label said to spray it as high up the trunk as the suckers -- I went about 4 feet high.)

It will eventually wash off. I get good results just spraying the knot where suckers sprout.

Thank you. I see now that the white has mostly gone.

HEY, wait a minute! I have a krauter Plum that is always growing bunches of suckers at the base..you mean there is something I can use to stop this? It is so hard for me to bend over so frequently to snip those things. Have I mentioned I love Hometalk? So many knowledgeable people ready to help!
