Recycled Travertine Ideas?

Does anyone have ideas of what to do with rescued broken, whole, and small pieces of Travertine? They were in a home that is being renovated and have some sort of drywall (?) backing that I'll need suggestions on how to get that off. But it seemed like a waste of such beautiful tiles. Anyone have ideas? I'm open!

You can remove the drywall by chipping it away. The traverine pieces can make a mosiac design on a table top, be cut to size for coasters, or framed out for hot pads.

I am wondering if they would be heat resistant if I used them to frame the top of an outdoor fireplace? Has anyone used travertine in this manner?
