Weeds growing in gravel drive

My drive has weeds growing in it. I have sprayed with round up. And also used boiling water. They die and then come right back a couple of weeks later. They are taking over the entire driveway. What can I do to keep them away for good?

I would use a grass and weed killer which is a like a ground killer .. if it is a ground killer nothing will grow there for several years... the best time to spray is when it is warm and don't spray it before it might rain cause it could spread across the ground and kill somethings you didn't wanna kill ... spray it when the wind is dead ... so it won't blow and drift onto other stuff that you don't wanna kill. I have also used vinegar, it may come back... I have also used ice cream salt .. you can either make a water mixture of it and spray it ... or put the salt down on it and spinkle water it in .. good luck ..

Using a stronger product than Roundup may help. Try a Total Vegetation killer. Ortho, Bonide and Bayer make some very good ones.

the strength of roundup we can buy in stores isn't that strong ... now the chemical that farmers use WILL work ..but you have to have a license to buy ... You will need to spray it a second maybe a third time before you can completely get rid of it. but try products that Peg suggested .. you WILL get better results.

After your driveway is weed free, generously spreading baking soda over the entire area. Hopefully it will change the PH to a level that doesn't support weed growth. I am just trying this approach for the first time. I did attack with Round-up first.

I have a gravel drive way. I deal the weeds by pulling them out by hand. Any amount of Roundup is detrimental and enters our groundwater system. I begin by watering the near by garden and the drive way one section at a time. Or wait for a soaking rain. I then pull and dig out the weeds. Most of the weeds are gone from that season. Staying on top of it is the key.

If I was to spend several hours a day pulling these weeds I would no more then get done and they would be back. They are very small and they are everywhere! So far it seems like every time I sit and pull them out of one spot they come back ten fold! So I think spraying or burning and maybe the baking soda may be the answer! I will look them up to see what they are. Thanks everyone!
