Car7112449 on Aug 03, 2016Shelley, it is a Mullein. In Kingston Ont. one started growing in my patio last fall and continued slowly thru the winter and grew to at least 10 feet this summer. We did not know what it was either but a lady who passes y did know. It is a very interesting plant so look it up on the internet.Helpful Reply

Jan Beaver on Aug 03, 2016The top one is definitely Amaranthus. Down South we call them Careless Weeds. I have hoed many a one out of my grandfather's field and in Texas they really get that tall. I now have a strong dislike for them!Helpful Reply

Francisco37388 on Aug 03, 2016I don't know the name of it but I usually just call it a weed and be done with it. It may be called wild lettuce, but not real sure. It grows at the edge of cultivated fields where it isn't disturbed too much. Weed!!Helpful Reply
