Terrie Hassler on Aug 10, 2013Passiflora incarnata. Commonly know as the passion vine or may-pop vine. Google the passion vine flower+story of Christ and learn about the correlation of the parts of the flower and how they relate to the crucifixion of Christ.Helpful Reply

Joe Martella on Aug 10, 2013Yep. Passion flower vine.. I plated 1 (one!) a few years ago. Now I've got many, all over the place! You can't pull these up, they just regrow. Climbing all over the place, constant trimming to keep them under control. But beautiful flowers, wonderful fragrance, & butterflies galore!Helpful Reply

June on Aug 12, 2013Lee Reich has a book about unusual fruits and talks about maypops there. I wish we could grow them as a perennial here. They are so exotic. I had one several years ago & did enjoy it. The next year I got one and had no luck. Had almost forgotten about them until your question about it.Helpful Reply

Maria Elena Armijo on Aug 12, 2013Passiflora, some of them give maracuya called fruits. Passion flower's name is a common name. It's very beautiful covering walls. Some herbalist should teach you about it's powerfull properties to calm down, relax, digestion, etc.Helpful Reply
