I live in KY and bought a mandevilla on sale. Does anyone know anything about it? It is beginning to bloom pink flowers. Should I consider bringing it in my house when it begins to frost outside?? Also, has anyone heard if it is poisonous???

It is a Tender Pern, so i would take indoors.

Definitely indoors in the winter. It cannot handle winters in the PNW so I cannot imagine it could survive yours. But they sure are beautiful! And I believe they are mildly toxic in that they will make you (or your kitty) sick but shouldn't have any long term harmful effects.

According to North Carolina State, all parts are poisonous, but the toxicity level is low. You'll definitely have to bring it in when temps dip.
