Beverly Hamilton on Aug 19, 2013What have you tried? It's been a while since I have needed to do anything about this but some standard stuff like baking soda and vinegar or lemon slice laid on it for a soak might work.Helpful Reply

Patti on Aug 19, 2013Actually, @Beverly Hamilton , This is a question posted for a coworker. I haven't any problem with rust rings, thank God! I recommended using baking soda, but didn't think to recommend the vinegar or lemon. Good thoughts! Thank you!!Helpful Reply

Bpe215507 on Aug 20, 2013Bar Keepers Friend works great. They sell it at bed, bath and beyond. Sprinkle lightly and scrub a little and the rust is gone.Helpful Reply

Martha on Mar 01, 2015I also use magic eraser. I have a bad habit of setting my cast iron skillet on my formica counter top -- the magic eraser works really well on rust.Helpful Reply
