Oh my goodness! First, this is a safety issue. The vent must lead to somewhere outside the house. Is your home on a foundation? If so, you can possibly vent through the floor, but would not recommend it. How close is the dryer to an outside wall?
You will need to find a spot where you can vent the dryer to the outside. All that moisture can cause a mold problem.
Like William said - cut a hole in another outside wall to reroute it.
You can have a straight run of 10'. Use straight pipe from Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards in the heating department. The corrugated pipe is too flexible and tends to trap lint.
We have figured it out. We are going to reconstruct the vent with extended piping to go thru an outside wall....Problem solved...thank you for your input.
Thanks. we have decided to use metal piping and run thru a wall to the outside.
thanks..that is what we have decided to do.
