I personally use them to store little things in my purse- like change or hair clips.
Here are a bunch more great ideas from a similar discussion http://www.hometalk.com/diy/upcycle/q-ideas-for-repurposing-prescription-pill-bottles-please-26456580 Let us know what you opt to do with them!
I'm looking for ideas to repurpose prescription pill bottles please!
I use them for screws and tiny things in the garage. In my sewing room, I use them for buttons, sequins. In my office, I put paper clips and thumb tacks in them. They are also recycle items or some organizations could use them too. I like the thread idea and the purse container ideas too! In the garage, you could drill a hole in the top and screw them onto wood to store items in and get them organized too!
Donate them to Matthew 25. They clean, sterlize, and remove the labels and give them to doctors and medical workers in 2nd world countries who are short on money to buy supplies. They also collect other small containers for the same purpose. You would, of course, remove your name or other personal identification before donating.
I have been trying to post a reply, but keep having trouble.
It is not a link, just copy and paste the url into your browser destination and it will take you there.
Can you glue them together in the shape of a old frame or mirror that you want to update then place around as you glue it ,oh with bottom side up? Then paint the bottoms in mettalic color's?
I keep a couple for spare change in my car.
They make a great sewing kit for your purse or a college-bound student. Use them to collect office, craft or sewing supplies - if the cover is white, you can just write on the top and put in a drawer. Just be sure to NOT use them for anything a child might mistake for candy!
With E6000 glue bottles to wood board. Place them upside down vertical and horizontal even use caps for different heights. Can leave spaces between bottles. Spray with plastic coating paint. Do 2-3 coats of black . Oops make sure board fits in a frame with no glass.now you have a Louis Nevelson piec of art. Can do in white also, can use different sizes and shapes of wood also. Look up Nevelson's work its fabulous
It started as a way of savings for me years ago, I never spend my change. I discovered that the main sized prescription bottles would hold exactly 10 dollars worth of quarters. I've been doing it for 20 years and have hundreds of them full. It'll make my kids nuts when they find those after I die. hehehe
I am saving mine for my favorite missionary; her helpers remove the labels and create lots of bottles of vitamins or whatever to be sent to Africa.
Pinterest has alot of ideas for use of pill bottles...from crafts to survival and sewing kits....but I love the post on here about helping missionary outreach since I grew up a missionary/ministers kid
That's a wonderful idea to give them to workers in third world countries. If you only have a few, you could keep small amounts of fav spices in your purse. I do love to spice things up. I like no salt seasoning, lemon pepper for my baked potato and this three pepper blend right now. A Cajun blend is nice to have along too. Livens up boring meals when forced to eat out.
If you want to donate them, then just donate them. Or, maybe there is a clinic that caters to the homeless; perhaps they can use them. If you wanted to donate them to a missionary, you would probably have to call some churches and see if they one who could use them.
Thank you
