I use a good bread knife and start cutting. May need to trim it up a bit after. If you want a smoother finish to the funnel etc. touch the raw side on to a warm iron or top of cooker ring.

I've always used scissors to cut mine. For dry goods, you can also use a sheet of rolled up paper.
