I have been a fan of good house keeping for years and one of the writes in the magazine has the best tips for cleaning everything under the sun. I hope this helps she has saved some valuable items I had that I could not replace with her cleaning ideas so I thinks she can handle this one. Hope it helps. Teresa

did you try soaking in oxyclean ?
whink! it's specifically made to remove rust. may find it at grocery store or walmart, but homedepot carries it.
Dampen the spot well, place Cream of tarter on it so the powder gets damp. Let it set for a hour( keep tarter damp. ) rub, rinse and wash. It worked for me several times.
I have iron in my well water.. So I add iron out to my rinse cycle ...you can buy iron out at your grocery store if not Home Depot....iron out will work for you...
The best rust remover I have ever found is "Wink Rust Remover". It works on rust so quickly that you won't believe it. It doesn't harm the fabric and it doesn't harm plastic. It will etch glass, porcelain and possibly metal. Use this product, watch the spot disappear. old stains may take a little longer. Be sure and have it on a plastic surface, pan or bowl. Let it sit till spot disappears then rinse in cold water. DO NOT GET IT ON OUR FINGERNAILS!!! It will sting! It is almost like magic!
