It is a primula. The primrose is a wild flower and the basis for the primula. They are very hardy and are use in U.K. for winter to spring planting.

Primrose....they are fall and winter plant. It will come back next year. When it gets hot it will die down....take the dead leaves and twist leaving the plant in the ground. When it starts to get cool it will sprout back up and you will have beautiful flowers again.

it is primula...they are in the grocery stores this time of year....you can keep them as a house plant year round....I keep them under lights then pop them out when they are flowering....when people come.
It's a primrose. They bloom in profusion in the very early spring along the roadsides of Wales. When you see the primrose, you know Spring is just around the corner. A beautiful sight!
