I have some host as in a barrel, the leaves are turning yellow.

To much water
Not sure where your hosta are planted. It could also be what is known as Hosta scorch. This happens from too much sun. Hosta grow best in rich soil that holds moisture. It could also be too much water. Without more info not sure but here is a website link about hosta care and common problems

there could be many reasons for the leaves turning yellow.Improper lighting,water,fungus or insects.
you need drain holes in outdoor pots..so you may need to repot..let it dry out a bit and just trim off bad leaves and it will bounce back
